Newburyport Arts Collective
The work
Live site
🚀
One website to bring together the city's art organizations, audiences, and local leaders during a time of severe economic impact from the COVID pandemic.
The pandemic hit arts organizations especially hard but the newly created Newburyport Arts Collective found its strength by supporting each other through collaborative advocacy, shared resources, and marketing. Together with one website, the arts community could shine the spotlight on the creators, classes, events, and news + perspectives in an easy-to-manage, clean website. What turned out to be a problem for the arts community turned into a COVID silver lining bringing in new customers and making the arts organizations stronger by supporting each other with resources and communication.

Client feedback
The Newburyport Arts Collective website has had a dramatic effect in driving new business to local arts organizations—people are signing up for emails, reaching out to us, and members have tracked new customers who had never visited their organizations previously. It's easy to update events and to add new blog postings—these posts are automatically designed within the Webflow system to maximize hits on Google. For example, a new post on Holiday Events in our area comes right up when you google Holiday Events in Newburyport. Susan MacPhee is a gem to work with—smart, fast, committed to quality, full of creative solutions, and personable.
